This is research measurement, and we say so
Ultrasonic material characterisation does not have the settled standard framework that absorption or sound insulation testing has. There is no accredited certificate at the end of it, and any laboratory that implies otherwise is overselling. What there is instead is a documented method, recorded conditions and repeatable comparison — which is exactly what a development programme needs and is not what a compliance submission needs.
So the useful question is not "is it certified" but "is it comparable". If you measure the same specimen twice and get the same answer, and you measure two formulations and can see which changed, the measurement is doing its job.
Can I use this result in a compliance submission?
No, and we would rather tell you now than after the invoice. If you need a result a regulator or certification body will accept, the route is one of the accredited or standardised methods, and we will point you at the right one.
