R&D and prototype acoustic testing

R&D measurement — not accredited

Product development is a loop: measure, change something, measure again. We are the measurement half of that loop, repeatedly and consistently, so that the comparison between prototype A and prototype B means something.

  1. Prototype A arrives. We establish the baseline.
  2. You or your consultant change the design.
  3. Prototype B arrives. We measure it the same way, in the same room, with the same mounting.
  4. We report whether it improved, by how much, and in which frequency bands.
  5. Repeat as needed.
  6. Final independent verification of the production design.

What we will not do

ALT answers "did it improve?" We do not answer "how should we improve it?" Designing the product and then testing it would destroy the independence that makes our report worth having. Where you need design help, engage an acoustic consultant of your own choosing — we can suggest more than one, and we do not take a referral fee.
