Sound level meter calibration
ISO/IEC 17025 accredited
Periodic testing to IEC 61672-3, verifying conformity to the IEC 61672-1 specification for Class 1 and Class 2 instruments. This service is inside our accredited scope. We calibrate multi-brand: the meter does not have to have been bought from us, because we do not sell meters.
What is checked
- Acoustic signal tests at the calibration check frequency
- Self-generated noise
- Frequency weightings A, C and Z
- Time weightings F, S and I
- Level linearity across the operating range
- Toneburst response
- Overload indication
- Long-term stability against the previous certificate where available
Included at no extra charge
Incoming condition check, battery and power check, cleaning, fault diagnosis and a firmware check. If we find a fault we quote the repair before doing anything, and recalibrate after repair.
